It is with a heavy heart that the Lima Fire Company has learned of the passing of Ronald Jones, a life member of the Aston-Beechwood Fire Company, member of Lima Fire Company and friend to all who ever met him.  Ron passed away August 28 after a battle with cancer.

Ron served in many capacities in his many years in the fire service, including President, Vice President, Engineer, and Fire Police.  Ron always remained active with his community, and cherished his large family both at home and in the fire service.  Ron was also honored at the PA House of Representatives in Harrisburg by Rep. Steve Barrar (R-160) for his contributions to his country as a Vietnam War Veteran, and to his community in his many capacities.  Ron will surely be missed by all who ever met him.

The Lima Fire Company would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Jones family, as well as our extended families at Aston-Beechwood and Green Ridge fire companies during this difficult time.

Viewing will be Thursday September 2nd at 6pm - 9pm and Friday morning at 9am - 10am. Services will be after the viewing on Friday morning. Viewing and services will be at Minshall-Shropshire Funeral home at 352/Knowlton Roads. There will be a firefighters procession from MSFH to Aston-Beechwood Fire Company where we will have a luncheon.
